My research focuses on quantum many-body physics, quantum thermodynamics and statistical mechanics, and quantum foundations, primarily using analytical and rigorous methods. More broadly, I am interested in understanding to what extent empirical laws can be derived from minimal physical assumptions, and under what conditions they can break down.
